I am a relentless problem solver who's always trying to find improvements across all my work when possible.
As a fermentation researcher, I was on multifaceted R&D and Pilot teams aimed at increasing cell titers, improving bioprocess output, and investigating bioprocess scale-up. I'm experienced in bioreactor operations from micro (1mL) to pilot scale (500L), with a focus on the intermediate scales of benchtop (3-10L) and small-pilot (50-200L).
I've lead projects involving lab build-outs, oxygen mass-transfer kinetic modeling, and continuous modes of operation. As a project lead, I've presented detailed reports and presented to mixed audiences to achieve department objectives.
I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemical Engineering in Spring 2020. I took elective courses in Biochemical Separations Engineering, Metabolic Engineering, and Animal Cell Biomanufacturing.
Generally I had a "traditional" educational experience up until it's zenith during the Pandemic. Due to those times, I have no graduation photos (never even wore a cap and gown!).
I worked in a variety of workplaces in the Biotech fermentation space starting in 2020. I was primarily interested in sustainable fermentation startups: those that were trying to harness biotechnology for the good of the planet and it's people.
My roles spanned a great many labs, organisms, and teams, and I'm proud of the multifauceted experience I've had.
